Women ONLY Criterium - Lansing DAZE 2009

Wow! May have found a breakthrough with a possible Women's Clinic in conjunction with my women's only criterium in Lansing. Dr. Beth has a mentor who was an Olympian and National Road Racer who gives clinics for female riders. I am hoping to get some support locally but also Nationally. Could be a great time for all the women riders in Kansas.

Chris Radio Star

Chris Locke was on the radio last night. Awesome.

Finished the TT in Lawrence, great weather, came home began to strip my signage from the road season. That way I can bring them to Chris Cross and put them in the mix. Looks as if those 6 foot 2x2's are working great. As soon as the new tape, 3mil arrives then we should be set for the remaining 4 race dates. Whew, listened to Chris on the radio via a podcast, great show about cx. We are really getting the word out, imagine my surprise when I saw that Sydney is like a roving reporter. That is really great. Now they know in Iowa about Chris's website, and my photo dump. That is going to get more word out. Wow, the women are in for a treat, I am going to give watches, Susan Komen fund, for the winners in Vet Cross. I have some Longeberger Baskets to give also. Looks like a great year.

Cross Season

Wow! What an opening race for the series. 244 participants, awesome! Course was fantastic and I got sick. No matter, the bottom line is it worked. The numbers were not legal, wow, I trusted Mike, well he made good by sending me a new set on Monday via same day FED EX. Well, I got upset with some of the comments made after the race. Some of these people express themselves in a children like manner and some will be direct. I am getting to old for this kind of mickey mouse behavior. Wonder what is going to happen tomorrow at the TT. I do not like this course because of the traffic, it is getting to busy, even though we will have a sheriff it still is not fun out there. Oh well, I ready anyway. Work is ok, just routine so I am going to conduct classes on financial aid so the student understands their aid better. Great day today. As the season is progressing, it is so much fun to see CX back. I really miss the fun of the persons who race.

End of a Season Start of a New

Winding down as I get ready for the Kansas State Masters Juniors Championships in Leavenworth on Saturday, then Sunday the Diamond Blackfan CX starts. Worried about the traffic on the weekend with the NASCAR races. Put out a warning. Finished participant maps for the Octoginta TT next week. Goin to mark the course tomorrow, just a touch up. After I am going to the model air show on 45 spur. Last race of the season for me, just see that I finish it, my knee threw me a curve but I have started to lose the weight. Next year, 20 or 30 pounds lighter should really make a difference on the hills. Sugar comes home tomorrow, good, I need to snuggle. Time to play scabble or blow up some buildings.
